    I have CS3 illustrator—Is this the program that you are using in this video? Is it a different version of Illustrator “Live Trace”?…It was hard to follow and didn’t work properly for me??? Any suggestions?

    Once you place an image in the illustrator it will show you live trace options.
    Go to file > place and browse to the artwork you want trace.
    let me know if it clears your confusion
